The nose is elegant, relatively powerful, aromatic and harmonious. It reveals notes of plum in kirsch, blackberry, cherry and slight notes of jam strawberry and raspberry associated with small notes of iris, rose, sweet spices and a slight touch of tobacco. The palate is balanced, dense, fruity, suave, “enveloping”, velvety, quite fleshy and offers a little tension. In the mouth it expresses notes of plum, blackberry and slight notes of crushed strawberry associated with a touch of cherry, prunes, dried fruit, spices and a fine note of Sichuan pepper, licorice, aromatic herbs and black tea on the finish. Tannins are fine, elegant, racy and integrated. Good length and persistence on the palate. A beautiful “gourmand” wine!
