AXR – Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard – Napa Valley

The nose is fresh, fruity and offers power and a certain tension. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, fresh/ripe cassis and small notes of wild strawberry associated with fine touches of ripe blueberry as well as fine touches of tonka bean, liquorice stick and a very discreet hint of Cuben pepper. The mouth is fruity, fresh, well-balanced, racy and offers a good definition, an acidulous frame as well as tension. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy/juicy cassis, fleshy/juicy blackberry and small notes of small black berries associated with fine touches of blueberry as well as fine touches of violet, iris and fine hints of tonka bean. Tannins are elegant and well-built.
