Artisan Wines, Bouvier Spätlese – Neusiedlersee – 2021

The wine has a pale lemon-yellow color with green reflections. The nose offers a beautiful expression and elegant spicy and floral aromas. It expresses notes of dried rose petals, iris, a touch of peony, ground ginger, white pepper and fresh vanilla (in the background), as well as a refreshing note of crushed mint. There are also ripe stone fruits (white peach, apricot), as well as golden apple and yellow pear. On the palate, the wine offers sweetness and a fairly high acidity that balances the sweetness. It expresses notes of very ripe fresh apricot, yellow peach, sweet yellow plum, a touch of yellow mango, melon, as well as flowers (iris, rose petals) and a fine spicy and peppery hint (ginger, white pepper), even slightly toasted. A lively and refreshing acidity and a pronounced spiciness balance the sweetness of the wine. Nice balance, a fragrant and pleasant wine.
