Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore 2019

Argentiera Bolgheri Superiore 2019

The wine has ruby color of medium intensity. The aromas are pronounced and pure – the wine expresses notes of fresh black and red fruit (wild blackberry, Morello cherry, wild strawberry) and candied fruit (raspberry and redcurrant jam), complemented by touches of cut mint, fresh rosemary and by a subtle minerality and a note of juniper berries and cocoa in the background. On the palate, the attack is round and fruity, with notes of juicy red fruits (red cherry, red plum) and a slight note of liquorice. On the mid-palate and at the finish, the wine expresses spicy and herbaceous notes – of black pepper, dried thyme with a slight minerality (wet stone). The tannins are grippy, a bit dry, but integrated, thanks to the concentration and the acidity of the wine. The finish is quite long and fruity, with enough acidity to balance the drying tannins.
