Arabesque, Clos du Roy 2020 – Fronsac

The nose is spicy, tense and finely tight. It reveals notes of violet, nutmeg and slight notes of fresh almond associated with touches of spices as well as a fine hint of crushed blackcurrant, violet, graphite and zan. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, a fresh/mineral frame, smoothness, accuracy as well as some tension. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy raspberry, pulpy/juicy wild black berries and slight notes of cornflower associated with touches of violet, hints of star anise/licorice as well as a subtle hint of fresh blond tobacco, almond and almost rooty (in the background). The tannins are discreetly marked.
