The nose is fruity, powerful and straight. It reveals notes of crème de cassis, menthol liquorice and blackberry combined with hints of redcurrant jam, subtle hints of cardamom (in the background) as well as a hint of coffee and pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, silky, racy and offers a slight mineral frame, a slight unctuosity as well as a beautiful juiciness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry, crème de cassis and touches of cherry associated with subtle hints of toasted oak, almond, subtle touches of hazelnut as well as very discreet hints of coffee and violet (in the background). Good length.
