Albor de Masos 2020, Valle de Guadelest, Alicante

Albor de Masos 2020, Valle de Guadelest, Alicante
On the nose, fruity and offers ripe/pulpy fruit, gourmandise, control and some depth. It reveals notes of ripe cherry, pulpy wild blackcurrant and more lightly pulpy berries combined with hints of spice, dry herbs/almost dry garrigue as well as fine points of plum, cherry blossom, pepper and a discreet hint of dry soil. On the palate, fruity, balanced and offers a tangy frame, juiciness, good definition and a stretched side, on the juicy/acidulous/charnished fruit, a good guideline and a good balance. The wine expresses juicy/pulpy blackberry, bursting/juicy cherry and slightly wild raspberry notes with hints of pulpy wild berries, herbs, dry grove and a discreet hint of licorice, chocolate, a discreet hint of olive, toasted oak, a subtle hint of vanilla and crushed hazelnut (in the background). The tannins are structuring. Good length.
