Albert Bichot, Domaine de Rochegrès 2018 – Moulin-à-Vent

The nose is elegant, precise, finely on the hold and offers generosity, a certain tension (but full of finesse and on the hold) and a small intensity. It reveals notes of creamy blackberry, bright cassis, fleshy/ripe bigarreau cherry associated with touches of violet, cornflower, lily as well as fine hints of sugared mild tobacco, chocolate and an imperceptible hint of timut pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, finely tight and offers fleshiness, creaminess, a beautiful finesse of the grain as well as gourmandize and a fine acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy blackberry, fleshy cassis, small notes of creamy strawberry associated with touches of bigarreau cherry, chocolate, vanilla and fine hints of toasted. Tannins are well-built, racy and offers a beautiful grain.
