The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is fragrant, savoury and subtly smoky. It expresses notes of crushed strawberry, redcurrant jelly, crushed raspberry, blueberry, fresh red cherry and dried red cherry, associated with floral touches (dried rose, cornflower), a fine spiciness (liquorice, pepper white, clove) and herbaceous (dried mint, rose leaf), as well as a discreet smoky hint in the background. The palate is enveloping, fresh and juicy. It expresses notes of crushed morello cherry, juicy red cherry, crushed raspberry, cranberry jam in the background, as well as a delicate spiciness (liquorice, white pepper, cumin), floral and herbaceous (dried rose, lily), as well as a smoky hint, which is found on the nose and which returns at the end of the palate. The tannins are supple and mellow. Good length, sapid, with a fine touch of meat and smoke, as well as lively acidity. A racy wine, typical of the appellation.
