Akutain – Cosecha 2015 – Rioja

The nose is fruity, fine and a bit rich. It reveals notes of blackberries, fleshy Gariguette strawberry and hint of cassis associated with discreet notes of flowers, cardamom, licorice (discreet) and a very discreet hint of gray pepper. The palate is fruity (nice fruit), juicy, well-balanced, finely gourmande and offers fat, roundness and a good volume. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed blackberries, fleshy Gariguette strawberry and fine notes of raspberry, fig associated with a discreet note of blueberry, a fine / discreet note of licorice and a hint of sweet spice. Tannins are fine and a bit young. Good length and persistence with fruity notes. A promising wine!
