The nose is fruity and offers a fine spicy/peppery side. There are notes of wild blackberry, crushed red fruits and slight notes of pepper associated with touches of cornflower/small blue fruits as well as a hint of star anise. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, a little tension as well as a juicy/fresh side of the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fairly ripe blueberry, bright blackcurrant and slight notes of cornflower associated with touches of violet, camphor as well as a hint of roasting. The tannins are tight.
