The nose is elegant and reveals power, finesse, a certain intensity of finesse/freshness and a nice racy finesse. There are notes of racy/almost saline minerality, pulpy blackberry and more lightly fleshy strawberry combined with small touches of salinity and fine hints of fleshy berries as well as discrete hints of graphite and chocolate. The palate is fruity and offers minerality, juiciness, gourmandize, good definition, a nice tension, a certain concentration, a certain volume and a fine straightness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, bright black berry and more slightly crisp/juicy strawberry combined with hints of lily, lilac, fine hints of red berries as well as discreet hints of Cuben pepper, star anise and a sublime hint of fresh spices. A discreet hint of varietal in the background. Good length. The tannins are precise and smooth.
