On the nose fruity, fresh, elegant, tightly wound and offers a certain delicate richness. It reveals notes of ripe wild blackcurrant, ripe black berries and hints of graphite combined with touches of camphor, spice, fine black tea, racy gravel, a subtle hint of nutmeg, grey pepper, cornflower and gladiola. On the palate is fruity, racy and offers juiciness, freshness, good definition, gourmandize, acidity, delicacy, power, complexity, an airy side, a nice texture and a certain delicacy in its power. The wine expresses notes of small wild fruits, pulpy cassis and hints of pulpy/juicy black plum combined with touches of bright cherry, raspberry as well as hints of camphor, black tea, fine points of racy/almost salty minerality with fine hints of cocoa. The tannins are precise, well conducted and very finely mellow. Good length. Subtle hint of caramelization as well as a fine saline touch on the finish/persistence. Nice persistence and gourmandize.
