Tenuta San Jacopo « Castiglioncelli » – Tuscany (Italy)

(2025/2026 harvest, Frantoio, Moraiolo, and Leccino varieties) The oil has an intense golden color. The aroma is fragrant, with pronounced vegetal and herbaceous notes (fresh green zucchini, fresh eggplant with a touch of roasted eggplant, dried thyme, a hint of bay leaf and olive leaves). There is also a hint of ripe yellow and beefsteak tomatoes, complemented by a touch of dried fruit (fresh almond and toasted hazelnut). On the palate, the texture is velvety and enveloping, with a slightly bitter initial taste. The flavors of cooked vegetables then emerge (fried zucchini, roasted eggplant, and roasted tomato in the background), complemented by a hint of fresh tomato (beefsteak and yellow tomatoes) and green zucchini. Lovely persistent, rich and toasty (toasted hazelnut, toasted almond), with a touch of roasted herbs (roasted thyme, roasted rosemary). A fragrant and dense oil, refined and elegant.
