Delta celebrates 100 years of excellence by partnering with Taittinger: the alliance of luxury in the sky

Delta Air Lines celebrates its 100th anniversary by partnering with the prestigious Taittinger house to offer a luxury experience in the Delta One cabin.

An exclusive partnership launching in the spring of 2025 on strategic routes (Atlanta-Europe, JFK-Europe, and CDG-USA flights), accompanied by tailor-made menus to enhance the in-flight experience. Taittinger Brut La Française, with its golden hue, fine bubbles, and notes of fresh fruits, honey, peach, flowers, and brioche, embodies excellence and elegance at altitude. To mark its centenary, Delta Air Lines is joining forces with Taittinger to introduce this exceptional champagne on board the Delta One cabin on its international flights. This emblematic partnership combines Delta’s service excellence with Taittinger’s expertise and elegance, redefining the premium in-flight experience. Starting this spring, Taittinger champagne will be prominently featured on the Delta One cabin bar cart and served as an aperitif before the meal, ensuring a refined experience throughout the journey. Like all premium beverages offered by the airline, it will remain available for the entire duration of the flight.

“Not all champagnes are created equal. Taittinger is a champagne for connoisseurs—it embodies a discreet and refined elegance that will impress our Delta One customers,” says Kristen Manion Taylor, Senior Vice President of In-Flight Service. “As a family-owned house, Taittinger shares our commitment to excellence, and we are delighted to partner with them to elevate our passengers’ travel experience.”

This partnership also reflects Delta’s ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of premium travel, notably through a demanding and innovative wine selection. The introduction of Taittinger on board underscores this ambition and enhances the art of hospitality at 30,000 feet. “At Delta, we never rest on our laurels. Our teams continuously push the limits to provide an unmatched in-flight experience and exceed our own high standards,” explains Manion Taylor. “Similarly, Taittinger stands out for its superior-quality production, adhering to strict aging requirements and adopting sustainable practices while creating an exceptional champagne.”

“At Taittinger, we take pride in sharing our champagne with those who appreciate craftsmanship and elegance,” adds Vitalie Taittinger, President of the house. “This partnership with Delta—particularly in such a symbolic year—is a fantastic opportunity to introduce our heritage to travelers worldwide. Together, we elevate the art of hospitality, one glass at a time.” Not to mention the wine and food pairing suggestions that will further enhance the experience, with a glass of Taittinger remaining ideal even at altitude.

“Delta’s wine program is an industry benchmark—whether through partnerships with prestigious brands or discovering hidden gems in the wine world, their creativity and commitment to an exceptional in-flight experience are unparalleled,” says Andrea Robinson, Master Sommelier and consultant for Delta.

This year, Delta is also expanding its exclusive Sky Sommelier program, designed for lead flight attendants on transatlantic flights. “The interactions between our flight attendants and customers are one of the pillars of the Delta experience. We invest in training our teams so they continue to cultivate excellence in hospitality and service, which are the hallmarks of our reputation,” concludes Manion Taylor.
