A third Aoc Alsace Grand Cru for Pinot Noir: Vorbourg

Among Rouffach and Westhalten, there are 73.6 Grand Cru hectares where Pinot noir is one and Aoc Alsace Grand Cru” – said by the Comité Interprofessionnel des Vins d’Alsace, it is “a recognition of the work done by local winemakers who initiated the process to obtain AOC Alsace Grand Cru status several decades ago.”

The Vorbourg Grand Cru is developed at the foot of the Grand Ballon and Petit Ballon d’Alsace, on a limestone-sandy terroir, with an altitude between 210 and 300 meters above sea level.
A third Aoc Alsace Grand Cru that “confirms the high quality of Pinot Noir produced on this terroir and reinforces its position among the great grape varieties of the Alsace wine region.”
