2015 Open Days of Saint-Emilion wines
From Friday 1st to Sunday, May 3, 2015 more than 80 wineries of Saint-Emilion, Lussac Saint-Emilion and Puisseguin Saint-Emilion open their doors and invite you to explore the St. Emilion vineyards listed as World Heritage site UNESCO. An event that will allow you to discover the famous and historic village of Saint-Emilion, its history, its heritage, the wines of Saint-Emilion and the men and women who make it with passion.
The 2015 Open Days program
As every year dozens of events and tastings are offered. The list of Châteaux participants at the Open Days and their addresses is available here. On this map you will find the open vineyards listed around four main themes: « Envies gourmandes » (delicacies), « Animations culturelles et ludiques » (cultural and recreational animation), « Découvertes du Patrimoine architectural » (architectural heritage) and « Propriétés et traditions familiales » (family traditions). So adult and children, oenophiles, Epicureans and culture vultures will easily find their happiness.
Outside tours / tastings and properties in activities other animations such as “winemakers dinners” (More information and reservations here) initiations to tasting organized by the Bordeaux Wine School and different contests will be offered. Game lots are:
- A weekend for 2 people in Saint-Emilion (registration from 11 March to 5 April)
- 88 bottles, a bottle of each Château participant (registration from 6 April to 3 May on this link)
A tasting of 4 Grands Crus Saint-Emilion wines led by a winemaker will be proposed at the Maison du Vin de Saint-Emilion (cost: 20 € / person). To reserve your place (limited number) please visit this link.
