100 years for the Chianti Classico Consortium: Best wishes!
Appointment on 14 May at 2.30 pm – digital streaming
In the Salone dei Cinquecento in the Palazzo Vecchio, Florence, the topics discussed – in occasione of this commemorative meeting – will be the intrinsic link between our wine and its land, the cultural landscape, and sustainability. Alongside regional and local institutions, speakers will include scientific experts and representatives of other significant denominations like Champagne, Port, Barolo, Burgundy and, of course, Oregon.
The royal decree of 7th March 1924 made possible the establishment of the Consorzio di Tutela, with our 33 founding fathers the first to seize the opportunity to protect and preserve Chianti Classico wine, its territory, landscape, and economy.

The celebrations will continue throughout the year, with many thematic seminars being held these days in Piazza della Signoria, Palazzo Uguccioni.
These include Chianti Classico tastings paired with the dishes of Michelin Stars Vito Mollica (Ristorante Atto), Ariel Hagen (Ristorante Saporium), Rocco De Santis (Ristorante Santa Elisabetta), Claudio Mengoni (Ristorante Borgo San Jacopo), and Niccolò Palumbo (Ristorante Paca, Prato). But also music and a focus on producers under 40!
