Château Chauvin is a 15 hectares property located in the appellation of Saint-Emilion, close to Pomerol appellation and of the Château Cheval Blanc and the Château La Dominique. It is ranked to Grand Cru Classé. Currently the property produces 50,000 bottles of Grand Cru Classé and about 10,000 bottles of its second wine, La Borderie Chauvin (AOC Saint-Emilion Grand Cru).

Sylvie Cazes aims to medium term to continue to increase the quality of the wines of Château Chauvin, redefine the vineyard but also review marketing to be able to target the markets which correspond to her priorities.

The acquisition of Château Chauvin is also a family project for Sylvie Cazes who wish to work on the winery with her children (Pierre, François and Julie Regimbeau) and more specifically with her daughter. Her first major action as the new owner was to appoint Philippe Moureau, who used to work for Château de Pez and Pichon Longueville Comtesse, CTO of Château Chauvin.
