Château Smith Haut Lafitte 2024 – Pessac-Léognan, Cru Classé

Château Smith Haut Lafitte 2024 – Pessac-Léognan, Cru Classé

Lovely, elegant nose, frank, fresh, racy and offers a lovely floral aspect, a very pretty melodious side and bewitching aromatic depth. Lovely purity and brilliance of fruit. A lovely 3-dimensional/multilayered side. There are notes of brilliant wild cassis, brilliant black cherry and small notes of cornflower, associated with touches of small brilliant red fruits and a subtle hint of almost roasted-elegant fruit. The palate is well-built, elegant, supple, fresh, precise, nicely racy and offers a lovely mellowness (divinely airy), precision, delicacy and a lovely melodious side. A delicate, fine, saline, almost smoky, coating fat. Beautiful definition, finesse and elegance in its grain. Energy. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of bright cassis, bright blueberry and small notes of brilliant raspberry, combined with touches of small juicy/fresh red fruits, fine hints of violet, delicate infusion, almost mandarin, cornflower, as well as discreet hints of chocolate, toasted hazelnut and cornflower. The tannins are elegant, sapid, gourmand and mellow. A perfectly built wine, perfectly reflecting its great terroir and the qualities of this complicated year. Melodious, brilliant, subtle, fresh, airy, delicate, deep and textured. Lovely, discreet work on good bitters and roasted.
