Promesse de Château Fayat 2024 – Pomerol

(100% Merlot) The nose is precise and frank. It reveals notes of roasting, wild cassis, cubeb pepper and small notes of violets, associated with little mineral touches, oatmeal, as well as a hint of gray pepper. The palate is beautifully juicy, fresh, mineral, it offers a fresh, tangy frame, silkiness, a little fat, precision and a certain suppleness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh cassis, cherry and small notes of cornflower, combined with touches of lily, oatmeal, as well as a fine hint of clove in the background. Good length. The tannins are fresh and discreetly tight. A hint of almost austerity in the background. An aromatic wine.
