The wine has a pale ruby color with garnet reflections. On the nose, it is reserved and requires aeration. Then, it expresses an elegant floral bouquet, which harmoniously combines notes of fresh flowers (peony, iris, a hint of rose) and dried flowers (dried rose, dried wild flowers), combined with a delicate herbaceous touch (dried mint, thyme) and mineral (dry stone and a hint of tar especially after aeration). We also find fruits (roasted red cherry, morello cherry, strawberry, raspberry coulis, fresh red plum) and spices (liquorice, nutmeg). The palate is juicy and tasty, with dry and firm tannins, but balanced by the fruits and the salivating acidity. It expresses notes of roasted red cherry, crushed raspberry, wild strawberry, bird cherry, as well as sweet spices (liquorice, nutmeg), a hint of toasted hazelnut, flowers (dried rose, peony) and herbs (dried peppermint, rosemary in the background). The finish is persistent, tasty, fruity and sapid, on notes of macerated fruits and a tertiary hint of undergrowth and tobacco. Contact with air softens the tannins.
