THE PROMOTIONAL EVENTS OF THE FIRST QUARTER CONFIRM THE POSITIVE TREND OF THE 2024 VINTAGE.
January 29, 2025
Following the conclusion of the ninth edition of GRANDI LANGHE 2025, with attendance figures continuing to grow, the Consortium is now preparing for its U.S. programming with BBWO2025. These promotional events reaffirm the positive trend of the 2024 vintage, which recorded a +6% increase in bottled Barolo and stability across other denominations, including Barbaresco.
The GRANDI LANGHE 2025 event, organized by the Consorzio di Tutela Barolo Barbaresco Alba Langhe e Dogliani, together with the Consorzio di Tutela Roero and in collaboration with Piemonte Land of Wine, concluded yesterday. Attendance figures continued to grow, surpassing 5,000 attendees, with approximately 20% from abroad.
The 500 participating wineries—380 from Langhe and Roero and 120 from the rest of Piedmont—were highly satisfied, presenting over 3,000 different wine labels across all Piedmontese DOC and DOCG appellations. The newly introduced press area was also a success, welcoming over 150 Italian and international journalists, who had the opportunity to taste more than 700 wines from the latest DOC and DOCG vintages, served by AIS Piemonte.
