A lovely aromatic, fruity nose, which offers a fine breadth and a fine complexity. It expresses notes of wild blackberry, small fairly ripe wild red fruits, associated with touches of tobacco, nutmeg, as well as fine hints of cubeb pepper, cardamom and a subtle hint of toasted-fresh. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, freshness, good definition, roundness, accuracy, minerality, a fine suppleness. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, roasted raspberry and more slightly – fairly ripe wild plum, associated with touches of cornflower, star anise, tobacco as well as fine hints of smoke, cardamom and a fine hint of graphite and toast. Good length, sapid and mellow tannins. A fine mellowness in the background.
