(Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot) The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is very fragrant and refined and offers precision and freshness. It expresses the tangy and fresh notes of juicy morello cherry, wild blackberry, blackcurrant, quetsche plum, blueberry, combined with a touch of crushed wild strawberry, which adds sweetness to the nose. We also find distinct aromas of crushed mint leaf, even menthol and rosemary, a fine spiciness (licorice, cloves, pink pepper berries and juniper) and roasted (heated wood in the background, toasted hazelnut), as well as a floral touch (lily, violet) in the background. On the palate, the wine offers delicacy and gourmandise, combined with a firm structure and fine but powerful tannins. The flavors are juicy, fruity on the attack (wild strawberry, blackcurrant, morello cherry, red cherry, a hint of wild blackberry and wild plum), and develop towards sweet spices (licorice, clove, a touch of vanilla) and fresh flowers (violet, iris). The finish is persistent, with nice acidity and energy. A well-structured wine, which needs time to round out the slightly drying tannins on the finish.
