The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose is aromatic, spicy and woody at first. On the first nose, we find notes of toasted wood, toasted hazelnut, a touch of caramel and toasted vanilla, which combine with the second nose with notes of licorice, black pepper, dried mint, cornflower and fresh fruit (griotte, red cherry, strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant). The mouth expresses straightness, accuracy, as well as roundness and juiciness. The woody side is less pronounced on the palate and instead expresses notes of sweet spices (licorice, cloves, white pepper). We also find notes of fresh morello cherry, roasted red cherry, crushed strawberry, blackcurrant, raspberry coulis, associated with notes of toasted hazelnut and grilled vanilla in the background, as well as a fine touch of cocoa, dried mint and cornflower. The tannins are well structured, very fine and melted. The finish is tasty, round, delicious, with a supple, but quite fresh acidity and a very subtle bitterness of cocoa in the background. A well-made wine, quite balanced, fleshy and supple.
