The wine has a pale ruby colour. The nose is delicate and offers a juicy and acidic fruity bouquet. It expresses red fruit notes (red currant, fresh raspberry, Bigarreau cherry, strawberry), a touch of blueberry and blackcurrant, as well as herbaceous (dried mint, dried bay leaf, sage) and spicy (nutmeg) notes and a very slight smoky edge. There are savoury hints of roasted meat and toast in the background. On the palate, the wine is airy and offers lightness and a tangy profile. It expresses notes of red and black fruits (tart red cherry, red currant, cranberry, raspberry, cranberry juice), fresh herbs (sage, thyme), spices (white pepper) with a subtle savoury touch of roasted meat. The tannins are fine, supple and enveloping. The finish is tight, with notes of tart cherry and crisp, salivating acidity.
