The wine has a ruby colour of medium intensity. The nose is fresh and juicy, with notes of ripe black fruit (blackcurrant, Morello cherry, blueberry) and tangy red fruit (wild strawberry, red currant, raspberry), accompanied by savoury, spicy notes of white pepper, liquorice, cloves and hints of smoke and toast, with a hint of dried herbs (peppermint, thyme, sage). On the palate, the wine has concentration, depth and richness: it expresses rich and refined notes of ripe black fruit (blackberry, blueberry, Morello cherry) and tangy red fruit (red cherry, wild strawberry, red currant). In the middle of the mouth, the fruity bouquet is completed by notes of sweet spices (cinnamon, liquorice, cloves) and bitter chocolate. Beautiful persistence in the mouth, complex and refined, with spicy (cinnamon, liquorice) and roasted (coffee, toasted) notes. The tannins are firm but velvety. Refreshing acidity and a good structure on the palate.
