Domaine du Moulin, Cuvée ++, Vinsobres 2020

The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity with purple reflections. The nose seems reserved (with notes of smoked meat) at first and requires aeration. We then find notes of blue plum, blue fig, morello cherry, quetsche, red cherry, prunes, and crushed strawberry, completed by spicy touches of liquorice, clove, bitter cocoa, mint chocolate. There are also elegant floral notes of peony, violet and lilac. On the palate, there is roundness, freshness and juiciness of ripe red and black fruits (blackcurrant, black plum, blackberry, morello cherry, red cherry, strawberry) and with delicate spicy and woody notes (coffee, toast hazelnut) and herbaceous freshness (dried mint, bay leaf). The tannins are melted, silky and delicate. They express their power, especially on the finish, balanced by lively acidity and rich fruit. A full-bodied, structured, yet elegant and harmonious wine. Good aging potential.
