The nose offers a nice delicate floral character as well as controlled power. There are notes of blueberry, lilac and more slightly of fresh black berries combined with subtle touches of fairly ripe fruits as well as a hint of Morello cherry and pepper. The palate offers freshness, fruit, minerality, juiciness/minerality, tension, precision, finesse and a nice sustained/stretched side in its richness and fatness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of creamy blackcurrant, juicy/sour boysenberry and slightly more sour cherry combined with hints of redcurrant, flowers and hints of toasted hazelnut and sweet spices. Smooth tannins. Good length. Nice freshness and definition.
