The wine has a deep ruby color. The wine expresses pronounced aromas, and begins with smoky and slightly meaty touches on the first nose. The bouquet develops after aeration and expresses notes of ripe black fruits (blackcurrant, morello cherry, blueberry), crème de cassis, mint and sweet spices (liquorice, clove, nutmeg). On the palate, the wine is rather closed – the tannins are still grainy and grippy and the flavors are less pronounced than the aromas. There are notes of tangy red and black fruits – sour cherry, crunchy black plum, red cherry, as well as black pepper and smoked meat. The finish is rather dry and reserved. The wine needs time to open up.
