Château Destieux 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, fresh and offers intensity, a slight creaminess as well as a little spiciness. It reveals notes of pulpy blackberry, pulpy blackcurrant and small notes of cornflower associated with touches of pulpy/bright raspberry as well as hints of bergamot, sweet spices and a discreet hint of pepper. The palate is juicy, balanced and offers freshness, minerality, a fresh/tangy frame, good definition, a little airy side in its creaminess, roundness as well as a certain gourmandise. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, pulpy/tart blackcurrant and small notes of crushed raspberry associated with touches of toasted, vanilla, caramelization, a hint of fresh nutmeg as well as a very discreet varietal and toasted hints. The tannins are soft.
