The nose is fruity, ripe, aromatic and offers a certain small concentration. It reveals notes of quite ripe blackberries, quite ripe small black fruits (almost roasted) and small notes of crushed raspberry associated with touches of cornflowers, star anise as well as a subtle hint almost sage/rosemary and sweet spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers minerality, an tangy frame, minerality, precision, tension, a beautiful maturity as well as a fine almost roasted side (but while keeping its freshness). On the palate, this wine expresses notes of roasted cherry, pulpy/quite ripe blue plum and small notes of violet associated with touches of pulpy/quite ripe blue berry fruits, hints of chocolate, sage, salinity as well as hints of with a subtle hint of tobacco and nutmeg/cardamon.
