The wine shows a deep ruby colour, slightly opaque. The nose reveals nuances of ripe, almost overripe red cherries, raspberries and bramble, a touch of sweet spices. The palate is savoury and full-bodied, offering notes of soya sauce and black olives, supported by nuances of Mediterranean herbs and rosemary. The palate shows astringent and bold tannins, very powerful structure and good persistence. The finish is delicately bitter. The wine needs more time.
