Le Blason de Parnay 2020 – Saumur-Champigny

(Organic) The wine shows a bright ruby colour. The nose is slightly restrained, the wine will benefit from being decanted. It opens up with notes of black cherries and bramble, a touch of cassis and forest blueberries, a hint of black pepper in the echo. The palate is dense and concentrated, offering opulent body, bold, ripe and polished tannins, balanced acidity. It mirrors the nose with flavours of ripe black berries, complicated by nuances of pungent spices, black currant leaf and fresh tobacco. Good length and a light bitter note on the finish.
