The wine has a pale ruby color. The nose is expressive, with notes of ripe black fruit (black plum, morello cherry, blueberry, blackberry), fresh and in jam, as well as a hint of cherries with kirsch and chocolate prunes. There are also discreet floral (peony, rose) and spicy (black pepper, star anise, nutmeg, liquorice) notes. In the mouth, the attack is supple and fruity (red cherry, red currant, strawberry), completed by the herbaceous flavors of hay, dried thyme, a floral touch of rose petals, as well as a slight hint of spices (liquorice, black pepper). On the mid-palate the wine is tight, with defined medium (+) tannins, medium body, and high and lively acidity. The finish is long, with herbaceous notes of wild mint and tangy notes of red cherry. A tight, but pleasant wine, aerial on the palate.
