The nose offers a certain intensity, a nice finesse of grain as well as some power and a certain straightness in finesse. There are notes of wild blackcurrant, boysenberry and, more slightly, crushed wild strawberry, combined with hints of zan, fine blue berries, violet and a touch of fresh blond tobacco and pepper. The palate is mineral, balanced, fresh and offers good definition, a certain tension, crispness, energy, juiciness and a nice finesse in its straightness. On the palate this wine expresses crunchy boysenberry, crunchy blackcurrant and more slightly pulpy/fresh cherry notes combined with hints of fresh red berries, violets as well as fine hints of liquorice, chocolate, a subtle almost caramelised edge and a discreet hint of fresh vanilla (in the background). Fine sapidity/salinity on the finish.
