The nose is elegant, spicy and offers power with delicacy, depth and intensity. There are notes of concentrated boysenberry, ripe wild strawberry and more slightly blackcurrant combined with hints of zan, Sichuan pepper, a hint of violet and discreet hints of almost blueberry (in the background) and vanilla. The palate is fruity with minerality/mineral structure, freshness, good definition, crispness/purity, roundness and generosity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy boysenberry, fleshy wild strawberry and slightly ripe red berry fruit, combined with hints of violet, star anise, and fine nuances of sweet blond tobacco and a subtle hint of vanilla. The tannins are precise and mellow. Good length. Good tannic structure.
