The nose is fruity, racy and offers a fine straightness as well as a certain fine power. There are notes of crunchy cassis, bright/ripe strawberry and small notes of kirsch cherry, combined with fine touches of quite ripe (even cooked) blueberry and a very discreet, almost roasted hint. The palate is fruity and offers tension, fruit, juiciness, a certain power, a quite ripe fruit, a spicy/peppery side as well as a fine acidic frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of ripe cassis, ripe cherry and small notes of ripe wild berry fruit with a touch of cooked blueberry, chocolate and a subtle roasted hint. Tannins are sapid. Fine hint of saltiness and cocoa on the finish.
