The nose is elegant, aromatic and has a nice spicy, masterful and airy quality. There are notes of boysenberry, green cardamom/spice and slightly morello cherry combined with touches of crunchy black berries, a hint of blueberry as well as fine hints of zan, fresh blond tobacco and a very discreet hint of pepper. The palate offers a nice freshness, minerality, roundness, generosity and a little airiness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of Morello cherry, juicy/fresh black plum and more slightly crunchy blue berries combined with a touch of violet, lily as well as fine nuances of black liquorice, a hint of Bourbon vanilla bean and a subtle touch of toastiness. Sapidity. Good length. A very fine touch of positive bitterness on the finish. Nice chewiness and good work on the bitter taste.
