Palmento Costanzo – Contrada Santo Spirito 2021 – Etna Rosso DOC

The nose reveals some pulpiness of the fruit, a certain gourmandize as well as a certain power/tension. There are notes of fleshy/pulpy red plum, fleshy/pulpy blackberry and more slightly strawberry combined with hints of violet, crushed blackcurrant, fine points of sweet spices, a subtle hint of almond as well as a discreet touch of grey pepper and mocha. The palate is mineral, balanced, masterful and reveals freshness, juiciness, precision, gourmandize, tension, a nice definition of the fruit (pulpy/flavoured) and finesse in its guidance. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy raspberry, bright cherry small notes of violet combined with hints of fleshy violet plum as well as hints of black olive, toast/sweet spice and a discreet hint of chocolate (in the background). Tannins are elegant and sapid. The finish is sapid and gourmet.
