The nose is fruity, spicy and with a fine peppery character, elegance and a fine racy power. There are notes of pulpy raspberry, violet and, more slightly, Madagascar pepper, combined with hints of pulpy/juicy violet plum, fresh/pulpy blackcurrant and fine spicy notes. The palate is fruity, balanced and reveals juiciness, sweetness, acidity, good definition, fine tension, precision, accuracy, energy and a nice acidity. Juicy/full-bodied blackberry, juicy/full-bodied cherry and slightly crushed red berry notes are combined with hints of lily, graphite, racy/terroir minerality and a subtle touch of tonka bean and zan. Good length. Subtle hint of vanilla in the background/finish. Sapidity. The tannins are mellow. Some linearity on the persistent finish.
