The nose is fruity and reveals a lovely aromatic bouquet. There are notes of blueberry, crushed cherry and, more slightly, strawberry, combined with hints of fresh blackberry, as well as fine hints of star anise, a discreet touch of sweet blond tobacco and sweet spices. The palate is fruity and offers a nice acidic structure, freshness, good definition, energy, a discreet content and aromatic complexity. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh/acidic blackcurrant, fresh red berries and more lightly lily, peony combined with touches of crunchy cherry as well as fine points of nutmeg and almond. The tannins are racy and well-managed.
