The nose is elegant, racy and reveals a certain delicacy, a nice ripeness of fruit, gourmandize and a certain depth. There are notes of pulpy blackberry, roasted cherry and more lightly blueberry combined with delicate touches of crushed blueberries/blueberries as well as fine points of star anise and a subtle hint of cardamom. The palate is fruity, elegant, gourmet and offers delicacy, juiciness, pulpiness, purity of fruit, a nice fleshiness of fresh/juicy/generous fruit, sincerity, gourmandize, a fine acidic backbone, some sapidity as well as a nice work on the good bitter taste. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of roasted cherry, crushed strawberry and, more lightly, pulpy/chunky blueberry, combined with touches of crushed blackcurrant, blueberry, as well as hints of vanilla, star anise and an imperceptible hint of sweet blond tobacco. Complexity, a discreet airiness/delicacy in the approach. The tannins are mellow.
