The nose is fruity and offers elegance, a nice racy freshness, some intensity, some depth and multi-layered quality. There are notes of ripe/fresh wild blackcurrant, fresh/crisp raspberry and more lightly of sense of place (local biotop) combined with fine, almost serene, hints of fresh/crunchy violet plum as well as fine hints of star anise and fresh spice. The palate is fruity, nicely racy and reveals freshness, minerality, smoothness, some roundness, a juicy/mineral structure, good definition, a certain gourmandize, harmony and a nice purity of fruit. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of fresh/pulpy blackberry, crushed strawberry and more lightly pulpy/fresh cherry combined with hints of mocha, peony, sense of place and a discreet touch of fresh vanilla. Good length. The tannins are precise, mellow and sapid. Good work on the bitter taste.
