Giovanni Almondo –  Roero DOCG 2018 Bric Valdiana, Montà d’Alba

On the nose it is fruity, racy and offers a little freshness as well as a discreet and pleasant varietal side. It reveals notes of fresh raspberry, cherry and more slightly violet associated with small touches of tip of cherry as well as a hint of plum and a discreet touch of licorice. On the palate it is fruity, balanced, finely tight and offers juiciness, freshness, minerality, a certain aromatic purity as well as good definition. The wine expresses notes of pulpy / juicy raspberry, pulpy / juicy cherry and more slightly of violet associated with touches of cherry tail, hints of small fresh / juicy plum, lilac as well as discreet hints of licorice, cardamom, a sense of place and a subtle toasted hint. Good length. Presence of a subtle hint of liquorice / caramelization in the background / finish. The end of the mouth tightens.
