Navarre Thierry – Olivier 2019 – Saint Chinian

Navarre Thierry – Olivier 2019 – Saint Chinian
The nose is flowery, drawn out and offers a little power as well as a fine varietal and spicy side. It reveals notes of crunchy blackberry, violet and more lightly of cassis bud associated with touches of pepper, smoke as well as fine hints of graphite, sweet spices and a subtle hint of blond tobacco. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, a tangy frame, a varietal side as well as tension. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of juicy / pulpy blackberry, crunchy cherry and more slightly cassis associated with touches of violet, cassis bud, lily, hints of toast, small red currants, chocolate as well a hint of toasted almond and a subtle hint of tobacco. Tannins are finely tight. Good length. A very fine varietal side and assumed in the background. A wine that needs time to flourish.
