Château Saint-Pierre 2020 – Saint-Julien, Grand Cru Classé 

On the nose, freshness, elegance, racy, intensity, stretch, discreet tightness and good definition. Notes of bright cassis, crushed strawberry and more lightly bright black berries combined with small hints of cornflower, graphite, toast, as well as discreet hints of star anise, chocolate and a subtle touch of vanilla. The palate is fruity, full of tension and offers juiciness, airy, elegance, a juicy/tangy frame, a good definition, a certain gourmandize as well as freshness, a little tension, suavity, a little stretch and a fine tight character. On the palate, notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, bright blackberry and more lightly raspberry combined with hints of violet, graphite, bourbon vanilla as well as discreet hints of sweet blond tobacco and a subtle touch of hazelnut. A fine palatability on the finish/persistence.
