On the nose, elegant, distinguished, complex (in finesse) and offers power (in finesse), a nice fine texture and a very nice multi-layering/depth. It reveals notes of ripe boysenberry, pulpy/ripe wild black berries and more lightly violet plum combined with hints of raspberry, violet/flower, grey pepper as well as fine hints of toast, lilac, camphor, a subtle hint of toasted hazelnut and an imperceptible hint of coffee (in the background). On the palate, fruity, balanced and offers a juicy/acidic structure, a nice minerality, richness (controlled), power (in control), depth, density (but with finesse/balance), freshness, juiciness, complexity as well as generosity, a nice pulpy/ripe and well defined fruit. The wine expresses notes of bursting blackberry, full-bodied/juicy black berry and more lightly violet with hints of raspberry, full-bodied/sparkling blue berry and hints of toast, toasted hazelnut, coffee, a subtle hint of bourbon vanilla and an imperceptible hint of tea. Sapidity and an imperceptible, almost salty edge on the finish/persistence.
