Château Latour à Pomerol 2018 – Pomerol

The nose is fresh, elegant, beautifully racy, full of delicacy and offers a beautiful finesse of the grain and a fine power. It reveals notes of blackberry, pulpy blueberry and small notes of violet plum associated with touches of strawberry as well as hints of almond, nutmeg, a very fine hint of toasted and mild tobacco. The palate is fruity, fresh, mineral, well-balanced and offers a beautiful definition, gourmandize, a small acidulous frame as well as a fine tension, delicacy, a fine justly controlled richness and a very fine creaminess. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy strawberry, blueberry and small notes of cherry associated with touches of blackberry, cornflower, small fruits as well as hints of tonka bean, tobacco, chocolate, a subtle hint of toasted and vanilla. Good length and persistence. Tannins are precise, fine and very finely chewy. A hint of caramelization, tonka bea and an imperceptible hint of clove on the persistence. Sapidity and gourmandize on the finish/persistence.
